IE for Loren Taylor for Mayor Of Oakland Demands A Fully Transparent Election ProcessDear President Haubert and Registrar Dupuis, I serve as counsel to the Responsible Leadership for Oakland: Elect Loren Taylor for Mayor 2025 Committee, an independent expenditure committee, to formally convey our hopes for integrity, transparency, and timely certification in connection with the April 15, 2025, Special Election. This is no ordinary election. The City of Oakland is in a state of fiscal crisis and political transition. The next mayor must be certified without delay, as Oakland’s FY 2025–26 budget is scheduled for release the first week of May. This makes every day of delay in certification consequential. Urgency is paramount. The well-being of Oakland residents depends on stable leadership to steer the City through the coming budget cycle. The new mayor must have time to engage with the process in April, May, and June. Oakland cannot afford to wait weeks for final results. We urge the Registrar’s Office and the Board of Supervisors to take all lawful steps to expedite the verification and certification process—and we are requesting a fully transparent election process on behalf of the citizens of Oakland. Background: Prior Errors Must Not Be RepeatedLive Interview With Tim Dupuis Alameda County Registrar On Oakland Mayoral Election RCV Voting We are compelled to remind you of serious errors made in the administration of the November 2022 election—specifically, the admitted tabulation error in the ranked-choice voting (RCV) April 15, 2025 Page 2 Greenberg Traurig, LLP | Attorneys at Law ACTIVE 710027253v1 www.gtlaw.comTimely and Lawful Certification We call on the Registrar of Voters to move swiftly and lawfully to certify the election. Oakland urgently needs a mayor in place for budget planning and governance. Full Adherence to Recount Protocols In the event of a close margin or credible irregularities, the Board and Registrar must implement all legal recount procedures. The unfulfilled 2022 Board-authorized recount undermined public trust and must not be repeated. Daily Release of Cast Vote Records (CVRs) Beginning April 16, we request CVRs be published every 24 hours, segmented by precinct and voting method. This is a statewide norm, especially crucial in high-interest, close elections. 1 CBS News Bay Area, November Election Recounts May Soon Occur for Multiple Alameda County Races (January 6, 2023). https://ift.tt/iyctSOG oakland-mayor-ousd-san-leandro/ 2 Alameda County Board of Supervisors Agenda – January 10, 2023 (https://ift.tt/JXyx1Eo 8e5.pdf&view=1); Alameda County Board of Supervisors Recommendations – January 9, 2023 (https://ift.tt/N301eBT ADMINISTRATION/Set Matter Calendar/President 20Carson_343301.pdf); and Alameda County Board of Supervisors Ballot Processing Status Updates Clear daily updates should be provided on the number of ballots received, verified, and counted—including all vote-by-mail, drop-off, and provisional ballots. Live Access to Ballot Processing The processing must be open to the public, and we recommend this be done via live streaming. As required by California Elections Code § 15104, candidates and observers must have sufficient access to ballot handling—from drop boxes to vote centers to the Registrar’s office—before and after Election Day. Hourly Election Night Results We acknowledge your plan to release results hourly on April 15. All ranked-choice tabulation data and files should be released with each update. Note from Zennie62Media, Inc. and NFLNewsbyZennie62.com : this video-blog post demonstrates the full and live operation of the latest updated version of an experimental Zennie62Media , Inc. mobile media video-blogging system network that was launched June 2018. This is a major part of Zennie62Media , Inc.’s new and innovative approach to the production of news media. What we call “The Third Wave of Media”.

The uploaded video is from the Zennie62 YouTube channel. It is automatically uploaded to and formatted automatically at the NFLNewsbyZennie62.com site and Zennie62-created and owned social media pages. The overall objective here, on top of our is smartphone-enabled, real-time, on the scene reporting of news, interviews, observations, and happenings anywhere in the World and within seconds and not hours – is the use of the existing YouTube social graph on any subject in the World.

Now, news is reported with a smartphone and also by promoting current content on YouTube: no heavy and expensive cameras or even a laptop are necessary, or having a camera crew to shoot what is already on YouTube. The secondary objective is faster, and very inexpensive media content news production and distribution.

We have found there is a disconnect between post length and time to product and revenue generated. With this approach, the problem is far less, though by no means solved.

Zennie62Media is constantly working to improve the system network coding and seeks interested content and media technology partners.
